There are many different ways to Design nice Logos with Photoshop and Photoshop also is the choice of most of the designers for Logo creation. Here I have explained a simple technique in this tutorial to create a cool logo with photoshop outline effect.

Open Photoshop and create a new file with your desired size/dimensions. I have created a new 250X60 file. Select the Horizontal Type Tool (or press T) from the ToolBox, click on created file and just type your desired text for Logo. Now select a nice font for your Logo text from your font gallery.

Next, Select your text layer from the Layers Palette. Open the Layer Style dialog box by clicking on the Add a Layer Style button at the bottom of the Layers palette, and select Stroke from the drop down menu (or just double click on the text layer and select stroke option through check box, which is last in the list). Modify the Stroke option until you are happy with the effect.

The setting I have given are:

Save the final output for web in your desired extension through File > Save For Web.
