Google adds 10 new languages in its language translation tool

Search engine major, google add 10 more languages in its language translation tool for the smooth and efficient flow of information. The newly added languages include Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Finnish, Hindi, Norwegian, Polish, Romanian and Swedish.

By using google translation service, the users can translate web pages and text as well as perform cross-language searches between any two languages. The company has also added a “Detect Language” option, which helps the viewer to automatically identify the language of the text you’re trying to translate.

It really is a good news for Internet users around the world using translation services for their work and was not getting the language translation for their particular language, hope they will find their desired language in these added 10 languages.

WiMax for faster mobile Internet access

WiMAX, the Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access, is one of the few telecommunication technologies that will provide the users a fast way to access the Internet with their communication devices or laptops. For end users, this revolutionary technology means there will be new devices that will easily connect to the Internet.

WiMAX is based on the IEEE 802.16 standard and also known as WirelessMAN. In this technology, WiFi-like data rates are easily supported, but the issue of interference is lessened. It operates on both licensed and non-licensed frequencies, providing a regulated environment and viable economic model for wireless carriers.

Recently US leading wireless broadband internet and phone service providers Clearwire and Sprint Nextel tie up their hands to develop a high-speed mobile network based this kind of technology. The companies are planning to launched their WiMax network launched by the end of this year and covers approximately 10 to 15 million people in the United States.

Google strives partnership with IBM to sell Desktop Business Tools

Search engine giant Google Inc. (GOOG) aims to work with International Business Machines Corp. (IBM) and its associates to sell its desktop applications to large business houses.

Addressing to a congregation of IBM’s key industry partners in Los Angeles,  Google Chief Executive Eric Schmidt said that this partnership would be a “key plank” of a strategy to popularise IBM’s desktop applications among the business customers.

Google has already announced its partnership with Salesforce.com Inc. (CRM), a leader in designing Web-based applications for sales executives, for distributing Google’s desktop products, including word processing and spreadsheet tools, to its customers.

Mr. Schmidt further adds that this partnership with IBM will definetely benefits google in reaching its target audiences. Currently some IBM applications are already embedded with Google technology.

The recent development in the business strategy of the search engine giant reflects the shifting of its business model and generating revenue from its desktop products, besides Internet search advertising.

Lat year, Google and IBM,  launched an alliance focusing on making so-called ” cloud computing” available to college faculty members and students. Cloud computing, a new term which gained importance in 2007, used to describe computing that is made generally available on a publicly available IP basis (i.e. the Internet) — “in the cloud”. Google’s AdSense introduced Video Ads

As Google AdSense is a fast and easy way for website publishers to display relevant Google ads in forms of text and images (banners) on their website’s to earn money, Google now introduced the newest member of the AdSense ad family i.e. click-to-play video ads. Although it is not very much clear how much money website publishers will make from these video ads, but as google introduced, it will defenately increase revenue potential for publishers.
